ENIGMA DE S von Gustavo de Mattos Jahn kam im Januar 2026 auf der Mostra Tiradentes, einem bedeutenden brasilianischen Filmfestival, zur Premiere. Jetzt zeigt WE ARE HERE den Film erstmals in Berlin. Die Story: Die Botanikerin Lúcia hatte einen unruhigen Traum: Sie war auf ein Wort gestoßen, das ihr gesamtes Leben prägt. Aber ihre Erinenrung beschränkt ich auf den Anfangsbuchstaben: Einem „S“. Bald durchsucht Lúcia ihre Heimatstadt Rio de Janeiro, nach Hinweisen auf das vergessene Traum-Wort…
FEBRUARY ANSWERS ist ein Reise-Essay von Melissa Dullius auf 16 mm-Format. Im Februar 2022 zwischen Finnland und den USA entstanden und 2024 in Berlin abgeschlossen: „Manchmal müssen wir erst auf der anderen Seite ankommen, um zu verstehen, was wir wirklich durchgemacht haben.“ Eine Co-Produktion zwischen Deutschland, Brasilien und Finnland.
Nach den Vorführungen findet in der Lounge eine Frage-Runde (Q & A) mit der Regisseurinnen unter der Moderation von Lanna Leite.

Soon, Lúcia is searching her home city of Rio de Janeiro for clues to the forgotten word from her dream…
FEBRUARY ANSWERS is a travel essay by Melissa Dullius shot on 16 mm film. Filmed in February 2022 between Finland and the USA and completed in Berlin in 2024: “Sometimes we have to reach the other side first to understand what we’ve really been through.” A co-production between Germany, Brazil and Finland.
Following the screenings, there will be a Q&A session with the director in the lounge, moderated by Lanna Leite.
